Thank you all children, parents and volunteers for making Sunday 27th October's spooktacular Halloween extravaganza at Porlock Community Gardens and Bilton Hall Community Centre so EPIC!
Since we opened the gardens on the 21st of July, we have never seen so many people together at Porlock at the same time! And each and every one of you helped making it so fun, spooky and extra special!
Thank you to Auxillia Youth Services CIC (link in comments) for a great Scavenger Hunt and scary decorations, Thank you to Bilton Hall Community Trust for brilliant decorations and pumpkins galore.
Thank you to Roweena and Big Local Jarrow and Keith Hemmer for fabulous decorations. Thank you to our 2 super scary ghilliy monsters, Peter and Keith, who raised the pulse and voices of both young and younger! And a massive big Thank you to Porlock’s own amazingly crafty volunteers, Karen, Jack, Anissa and Paula (and their talented young assistants) who have helped me for weeks to plan and produce the most amazing spooky decorations, and who showed up 5 hours early on Sunday to make Porlock into the spooky fairyland it turned out to be. Thanks to you all - we did it! You are amazing.

Lots of hot chocolate with marshmallows was consumed and apples were bobbed, cookies were decorated, eyeballs were dug out of spaghetti worms and clues were searched for and found all over the gardens.
And we saw the most fabulous and scary costumes!
After a couple of hours of running, playing and screaming at Porlock, when the darkness fell over the gardens, the evening ended with a ultra spooky disco party at Bilton Hall Community Centre, which we were told was just as epic!
In the mean time; HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
In Comm-Unity,
Lise, Joanna, Sam, Lexie, Karen, Anissa and Paula and all the rest of our team of scary (but oh so lovely) volunteers and staff at Porlock and Bilton Hall
